Frame: 1991 Gianni Motta Personal 2001R
Frame history: 1 of only 12 made, this glow in the dark Gianni Motta Personal 2001R Stellari. These were brought to the US by Gianni Motta as gifts when he toured the US to visit shops that sold his bikes in the early ‘90’s. Motta bicycles were known as favorites of climbers due to design touches like the trans fork seatstays, his special cast lugset, and dropouts. CyclingUpgrades acquired this from from the 2nd owner who has owned it since the early 2000s, it was not built or ridden by the 2nd owner, so it is a relatively low mile frameset.
Color: White, Blue, Green, and orange. This is a rare version in which the white sections glow in the dark.
Brake type: Center-Mount rim brake
Size: Actual measurements taken by hand are approximate and are as follows: 575mm stack, 425mm reach, 840mm standover height, 580mm effective top tube. 580mm actual top tube center to center. 575mm center of bottom bracket to center of top tube. 595mm center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube. Head tube 165mm. 410mm chainstay length. If other measurements or take-offs are needed, please feel free to ask. We have included in our last picture a photo of the frame with a wheelset on it to show the head and seat tube angles and top tube slope.
Condition: No cracks or defects were identified through a thorough visual inspection. The cosmetic imperfections to highlight include: some scratches on the chainstay shown in pics # 5-7. We have attempted to show all noticeable imperfections in specific close-up pictures, however other minor imperfections and light signs of use may exist.
Groupset compatibility: Frame can be setup for eTap or mechanical groupsets. This frame is not compatible with Di2, or EPS setups.
Bottom bracket: Italian threaded bottom bracket shell type. The bottom bracket has been chamfered for a Mavic style bottom bracket, however it still works fine with any italian threaded bottom bracket. No bottom bracket is currently installed or included. We have a handful of lightly used basic bottom brackets on hand, let us know what you need and we can try to ship the frame with the right bottom bracket installed. Additionally, CyclingUpgrades is a Wheels Manufacturing, and a Ceramicspeed Authorized Dealer, if you prefer to have the frame setup with a certain Wheels Manufacturing, or Ceramicspeed bottom bracket we can add and install it at an additional cost before shipping - message with inquiries/requests.
Steerer length: N/A this frame uses a quill style stem.

What's included: Frame, and fork. A temporary plastic headset was placed on the frame for pictures, but is not included.
