Founded in 1974 Rossin bicycles was the creation of Mario Rossin, Vittorio Ghezzi, his son Guiseppe, Alberto Inzaghi, and Domenico Garbelli. Prior to this Mario Rossin had spent many years working in the Colnago factory as their top frame builder.
Building under his own name Rossin did not rest on his laurels he continued to meticulously build and craft bicycles that would earn him respect as one of the best Italian frame builders in the 1970s and 1980s. Many of his bikes were ridden to victories by many great riders including early members of the 7-11 Cycling Team. Always aesthetically beautiful Rossin was also known for innovation as well. Rossin gave cycling many firsts… monocoque TT frames with sloping top tubes, aerodynamic handlebars and in 1983 they invented the disc wheel which was used by Francesco Moser to set the hour record in Mexico.
The Ghibli represents a continuation/culmination of innovations and advancements… microcast lugs, Columbus SLX/SPX tubes drawn in profiles to increase the power transfer of the frame and improve ride qualities. In an unusual move Ten Speed Drive Imports brought the raw framesets to the U.S. and painted them in-house with DuPont Imron paint.
This Ghibli frameset is a beautiful example of one of the finest and most sought after bikes of the late 80’s. Painted in the highly sought after Mondrian paint scheme. It is all original having never been ridden and built up only once to display.

Size: Actual measurements taken by hand are approximate and are as follows: 580mm stack, 410mm reach, 843mm standover height, 570mm actual top tube center to center. 575mm center of bottom bracket to center of top tube. 590mm center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube. Head tube 168mm. 410mm chainstay length. If other measurements or take-offs are needed, please feel free to ask. We have included in our last picture a photo of the frame with a wheelset on it to show the head and seat tube angles and top tube slope.
Condition: This frame was built up as a display bike, but was never used or ridden.
Groupset compatibility: Frame can be setup for eTap or mechanical groupsets. This frame is not compatible with Di2, or EPS setups. Mechanical cable guide below the bottom bracket intact.
Bottom bracket: Italian threaded bottom bracket shell type. No bottom bracket is currently installed or included. We have a handful of lightly used basic bottom brackets on hand, let us know what you need and we can try to ship the frame with the right bottom bracket installed. Additionally, CyclingUpgrades is a Wheels Manufacturing, and a Ceramicspeed Authorized Dealer, if you prefer to have the frame setup with a certain Wheels Manufacturing, or Ceramicspeed bottom bracket we can add and install it at an additional cost before shipping - message with inquiries/requests.
Steerer length: N/A. This frame uses a quill style stem.
